You don’t have to travel far or spend a fortune to find a beautiful setting for your personal or group retreat.
Whether you come for strategic planning, religious retreat, or personal renewal, you’ll find the freedom to focus clearly on your goals.
Mountain View Retreat House has hosted non-profit boards, school district administrators, church groups, therapists, martial artists, yoga practitioners, musicians, and healers.
We’re dedicated to helping you create a positive future, and we want you to succeed.
Mountain View Retreat House is located on Cataldo Mountain, on 86 acres of forested land bordering the Coeur d’Alene River in Northern Idaho. At our doorstep lies the 72-mile Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes, offering extensive opportunities for walking, biking, blading, boarding, and in winter, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing.
Guests encounter an array of wildlife, from summer’s tiny hummingbirds to the rare wildcat. We also share the land with turkey, owl, moose, bear, deer, and elk.
Retreats and Meetings
The retreat house looks out on the surrounding Bitterroot Mountains. The main room features cathedral ceilings and expansive views. At 1300 square feet, it affords ample space for your group’s activities: large and small meetings, prayer and meditation, exercise and movement. The room can be arranged in a variety of configurations to meet your specific needs.
The meeting room is equipped with CD, tape, and DVD players, video camera and recorder, massage tables, and martial arts mats.
The downstairs includes five double-occupancy bedrooms, bathroom and laundry facilities, wood-heated sauna, and fully-equipped kitchen and dining area.
“This retreat was an important planning event for our school year. The location was perfect for our need to get away and develop our vision . . . being surrounded by the lush greenery and sitting up on the hill set the stage for creative thinking . . . and the food was delicious. It felt like we were at home and in an expensive restaurant at the same time. The cost was exceptionally reasonable.”
–Sandra Pommerening, School Superintendent, Kellogg, Idaho
